It was the best boxing match that I’ve ever seen. Ironically, after ko mapanuod ang laban ni Manny Pacquiao at Antonio Margarito, I found myself triumphantly cursing everywhere on a Sunday afternoon. I hope maintindihan ako ni Lord πŸ˜€

Indeed, it was not only a celebration of Filipinos but also all who admire Manny’s strength, endurance, and his act of “merciful” fight. Nagdiriwang lahat ngayon sa pagkapanalo niya ng 8th division title. I pity for what happened to Margarito: his face was bruised and bloated. Nonetheless, I also admire his determination to finish the match kahit bugbog na bugbog na ang kanyang mukha at katawan.

At dahil diyan, it calls for a celebration.

My mom asked me to cook some Carbonara for an afternoon merienda πŸ˜€ At tatawagin ko siyang Pacman Carbonara. Ang pinagkaiba lang niya sa mga typical na carbonara ay maanghang, makrema at saksakan ng keso (literal na keso ah).

Eto ang aking kauna-unahang pagkakataon para mag-share sa inyo ng isang recipe blog entry πŸ™‚ Kung hindi niyo nalalaman, mahilig ako magluto. ako ang kadalasang naatasang magluto ng pagkain para sa aming hapag-kainan at mga sikmura. Hindi ako nagmamagaling na parang chef or isang food expert para magpakitang-gilas. Ako’y isang prinsipe lamang na nagkataong mahilig magluto’t kumain πŸ™‚

Okie, here are the ingredients πŸ™‚

  • 1/2 kilo Spaghetti noodles
  • 2 cans of spicy tuna flakes
  • slab of butter
  • 2 packs of Carbonara sauce (alternative to Cream of Mushroom + All purpose cream)
  • 1 tetra pak All-Purpose cream
  • minced garlic and onion
  • 1 tsp. cooking oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • grated Cheddar cheese
  • Procedure:

       

    1. Iluto ang spaghetti noodles according to package instructions. Lagyan niyo ng konting oil at salt yung kumukulong tubig para hindi magdikit-dikit yung noodles at para magkalasa πŸ™‚ After getting cooked, drain the liquid and set aside.
    2. Iluto ang carbonara sauce. Melt butter in saucepan. Para hindi masunog ang butter, lagyan ng konting cooking oil or any choice na mantika.
    3. Saute onions and garlic until maging slightly brown ang color.
    4. Next, saute the tuna flakes. But first, drain the oil/water from the tuna before placing the flakes at pan. Pwede niyo ring gamitin yung oil as an alternative oil para sa butter before maggisa.
    5. Isunod ang carbonara/cream of mushroom sauce at ang Β all-purpose cream. Stir occasionally for about few minutes or until the sauce becomes slightly thicker.
    6. Put some salt and pepper to taste.
    7. Pour the sauce on the noodle.
    8. Add grated cheese.
    9. Serve and enjoy!


    Good for 10 people, pwera lang kung eating machines ang mga kasama mo πŸ˜€



    Kung gusto niyo ng red spaghetti version, try mo! Sino pumipigil sa iyo? And I suggest we can call it Margarito Spaghetti πŸ˜€

    Para mas sumarap ang kain ninyo ng Pacman Carbonara, sabayan niyo ng pagpapatugtog ng “Para Sa’yo” ni Pacquiao mismo, tapos maligo kayo gamit Head & Shoulders, habang umiinom ng San Miguel Beer (para sa mga matatanda) or Magnolia Fresh Milk (para sa mga chikiting), at uminom ng Alaxan… joke πŸ˜€
